Payment methods

Credit Cards: We accept Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. There is no surcharge for using Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number – the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information may cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed as soon as your order is placed. This is done to protect the security of your credit card details, as we do not store your card details at any point. In the event that we cannot fulfill your order or some items cannot be shipped, we will refund the difference back to your credit card. These refunds may take several business days to appear on your statement.

Sigma does not accept money orders, cashier’s cheques, personal cheques and company cheques.

Order acceptance policy

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Sigma reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. Sigma reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order, without prior notice to you, to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item. Typographical errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Sigma shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Sigma shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled Sigma shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

Applicable law

As far as legally possible this Agreement, its terms and conditions and the Use of this Site shall be governed by the laws in existence from time to time in Australia. Any claim relating to the Site, the services provided through the Site or the Content shall be governed by the internal laws of the state of Victoria and you agree to submit to having the matter dealt with in a court in Melbourne in the state of Victoria Australia.

Termination

These terms are effective even if this Agreement is terminated by either party. Subject to applicable law, we reserve the right to suspend or deny, in our sole discretion, your access to all or any portion of the Site with or without notice. Not all items displayed in our catalogues will be available to purchase on the Site. These products are available at participating Amcal stores while stocks last.

Limited purchase quantities

Sigma reserves the right to monitor and limit the purchase amounts of products at its sole discretion. Sigma reserves the right to restrict sales to a non-commercial level at its sole discretion. International destination restrictions

This Site only delivers to Australian postal addresses. Orders purchased on this Site cannot be shipped to an international address.

Updates to Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time. If we do so, we will post the amended Privacy Policy on our website so that you will always be aware of how we manage your personal information.

Credit Policy

Sigma will cover the cost of freight of returned items where the mistake has been ours. The Site will accept returns of non-prescription lines within 30 days with proof of purchase if goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly represented. Goods must be in acceptable condition and Sigma must be contacted prior to sending.

Products can be returned to Sigma Company Ltd, however customer service must be contacted before a credit can be provided. All credits are paid back to the card which made the payment, no refunds will be provided by the store where you returned the product.

Amcal Rewards – Terms and conditions

The Amcal Rewards Card is issued by Sigma Company Limited ACN 004 132 923 (Sigma).

Enrolment

By signing an application form or using an Amcal Rewards Card (formerly known as Amcal Club), each applicant or member (each a “Member”) accepts and agrees to be bound by these Amcal Rewards Terms and Conditions applicable from time to time.
The Amcal Rewards card is valid at any participating Amcal pharmacy (“participating Amcal pharmacy”). Your Home Pharmacy will be designated as the Amcal pharmacy at which you joined Amcal Rewards. You may alter your Home Pharmacy at any time via the call centre.
The Amcal Rewards Card is not a credit or charge card, is not transferable and remains the property of Sigma.

Earning Points

Members will earn points on all purchases they make at any participating Amcal pharmacy except ‘Excluded Items’.
Excluded Items include prescription only and medicine products, products where the granting of points are otherwise prohibited by law, gift cards and products Sigma deems and/or advertise from time to time as being excluded
Members will receive 1 point for every 20¢ spent (5 Points per $1.00) on non-Excluded Items. Bonus points may be offered from time to time at Sigma absolute discretion..
If you do not have your Amcal Rewards Card with you at the time of purchase, you can return to the point of purchase within 30 days with a copy of your receipt and your Amcal Rewards Card and the points will be credited to your account.

Redeeming Points

Members will be eligible to redeem their points to pay for the whole or part of any purchase (except ‘Excluded Items’ ) at any participating Amcal pharmacy when that Member has an accumulated minimum balance of 500 points.
When redeeming in store, members will receive a discount of 1c off the current transaction for every 1 point redeemed (ie 100 points redeemed = $1 off). Redemptions can only be processed in multiples of 1c.
Subject to anything else contained herein, unused points will expire 2 years after the date on which they were earned.

General Conditions

To the extent permitted by law, Sigma or any participating Amcal pharmacy will not be liable for any errors, omissions, delays or disruptions in the operation of the Amcal Rewards and will not be liable for any loss caused by any such errors, omissions, delays or disruptions.
Sigma or any participating Amcal pharmacy will not allow redemption of any Points that have been credited to a Member in error or which relate to a purchase by a Member that is subsequently cancelled or reversed or where a refund is given. Any Points that have been credited to a Member in error may be subsequently deducted from the member’s account. This decision is at the discretion of Sigma. No discussion will be entered into.
Members can view information about all Points they have earned and redeemed on-line at www.amcalrewards.com.au.
By using the Amcal Rewards Card, each member agrees to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with Sigma’s privacy policy available on www.amcalrewards.com.au.
Members must promptly notify their Pharmacy of any change of their address or if their Amcal Rewards Card is lost or stolen. Members can also update their details at amcalrewards.com.au. Sigma or any participating Amcal Pharmacy is not liable for any delay in providing or replacing the Amcal Rewards Card or for any unauthorised use of the Card.
Members may opt out of communication from Amcal Rewards by following unsubscribe links on emails or by logging into their account at amcalrewards.com.au.
Sigma may suspend or terminate the Amcal Rewards or a Member’s membership in the Amcal Rewards at any time without reason or notice.
Sigma reserves the right to suspend, vary, alter or amend all or any part of these Terms and Conditions, or terminate the Amcal Rewards program at its absolute discretion at any time. Sigma will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from any suspension or termination. Sigma will use its best endeavours to notify Members of any replacement or amendment but will not be liable if it does not.
No Amcal pharmacy has the authority, express or implied, to make any representation, warranty or statement on behalf of Sigma or in relation to the Amcal Rewards program and Sigma accepts no liability in respect of any representation, warranty or statement made by any Amcal pharmacy.
All conditions and warranties, whether express or implied and whether arising under statute or otherwise, as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by any participating Amcal pharmacy are expressly excluded to the full extent permitted by law.
Amcal Rewards is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

When participating in Amcal Rewards, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy and understand and agree that Sigma will collect, use, store and disclose your information, personal information, in accordance with its terms.
Sigma reserves the right to vary, alter or amend all or any part of its Privacy Policy from time to time, in its absolute discretion.

These Terms of Use govern your conduct associated with the Customer Ratings and Review service offered by Amcal (the “CRR Service”). To the extent of any conflict between Amcal’s Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use, these Terms of Use shall control with respect to the CRR Service. By submitting any content to Amcal, you represent and warrant that:

you are the sole author and owner of the intellectual property rights thereto;
all “moral rights” that you may have in such content have been voluntarily waived by you;
all content that you post is accurate;
you are at least 13 years old;
use of the content you supply does not violate these Terms of Use and will not cause injury to any person or entity.

You further agree and warrant that you shall not submit any content:

that is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading;

Introduction

These are the terms and conditions that apply to all Amcal Gift Cards issued by Sigma Company Limited ACN 004 132 923 (Sigma).

It is recommended that you read this document carefully before using the Amcal Gift Card.

Terms and Conditions

The following terms have the following meanings in this document:
1. Amcal means Sigma Company Limited ACN 004 132 923 and any participating Amcal Franchised Pharmacy Business;
2. Amcal Franchised Pharmacy Business means the business of conducting in accordance with the terms of a franchise agreement an Amcal pharmacy for the retail of goods and services using the intellectual property and other rights of Amcal;
3. Amcal Gift Card means the gift card that you have purchased or received;
4. Franchisee means a third party to whom Amcal has licensed and granted the right under a franchise agreement to operate a Amcal Franchised Business;
5. Issue Date means the date noted on your Amcal Gift Card;
6. Remaining Gift Card Value means at any time, that portion of the initial value loaded onto your Amcal Gift Card;
7. A reference to “we” or ”us” is a reference to Sigma or any participating Amcal Franchised Pharmacy Business; and
8. A reference to ”you“ or “your” is a reference to the person who is in possession of the Amcal Gift Card at the relevant time for the purposes of these Gift Card Terms and Conditions, or who authorises another person to do something with or to the Amcal Gift Card on their behalf.
These terms and conditions apply to each Amcal Gift Card issued.
By purchasing, activating, redeeming or attempting to redeem an Amcal Gift Card, you agree to be bound by these Gift Card Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations; and not to use the Amcal Gift Card in any way that is unlawful, misleading, deceptive, unfair or causes harm or damage to any other person.
If you give the Amcal Gift Card to another person, then you must ensure the person to whom you gave the Amcal Gift Card is aware of these Gift Card Terms and Conditions, as well as the Remaining Gift Card Value and expiry date of the Amcal Gift Card.
The Amcal Gift Card is redeemable in whole or in part for goods or services sold in a participating Amcal Franchised Pharmacy Business.
The Amcal Gift Card is redeemable for purchases of $5.00 or more.
The Amcal Gift Card cannot be redeemed for purchases via amcal.com.au.
The Amcal Gift Card is valid for three (3) years from the Issue Date.
The Amcal Gift Card is not redeemable for cash and cannot be used for the payment of credit or retailer accounts.
The Amcal Gift Card cannot be reloaded.
The Amcal Gift Card is wholly or partially redeemable. It is up to you to use the full value displayed on the Amcal Gift Card before the expiry date.
Where the cost of a purchase exceeds the value displayed on the Amcal Gift Card or any unused Remaining Gift Card Value, you will be required to make up the difference with another payment method.
Any unused Remaining Gift Card Value on expiry of the Amcal Gift Card will not be refunded or credited to you.
Treat the Amcal Gift Card like cash.
Amcal may cancel the card if you report it has been lost or stolen.
Amcal accepts no responsibility for defaced, damaged, altered, lost or stolen Amcal Gift Cards and will not take any responsibility, or replace, or refund, if damaged, lost or stolen.

Amcal reserves the right to change any of the terms contained in these Gift Card Terms and Conditions at any time where the change is reasonably required and agrees to provide you with at least 30 days’ advance notice of such changes. Amcal will give you notice by posting the changes to https://www.amcal.com.au/termsandconditions. If you write to Amcal within the notice period and do not accept the changes, we may cancel your Amcal Gift Card and refund any Remaining Gift Card Value to you. Changes to these Gift Card Terms and Conditions Terms will be available on the Amcal website.
