Help RizeUp support victim survivors
Our Partnership with RizeUp Australia
Every 2 minutes, a woman reports domestic violence in Australia.
1 in 4 women have experienced physical violence or abuse. 1 in 5 women have experienced sexual violence. And 1 in 6 women have experienced economic abuse.
It’s for these reasons and more that Amcal has partnered with charity organisation RizeUp Australia. RizeUp provides tangible, life-changing support for those affected by domestic and family violence. RizeUp drives awareness and provides practical assistance giving victim survivors hope, support, and the means to break free from the cycle of violence.
Caring for families in our community has always been a core part of what Amcal pharmacies do. It’s who we are. Which is why helping RizeUp Australia to support these families, so they can be safe, cared for, feel well and stay well, is something we at Amcal are passionate about.
What is domestic and family violence (DFV)?
DFV involves behaviour that makes you feel scared, involves threats to you, your children or pets and denies your freedom. DFV often involves an ongoing, repeated pattern of behaviour, which can include physical and non-physical abuse.

“At RizeUp, we know that true change happens when we stand together. Our partnership with Amcal, one of Australia’s most trusted and respected pharmacies, is a powerful testament to what can be achieved when communities unite with purpose. Every day, domestic and family violence walks through the doors of pharmacies across Australia, and to have such a trusted brand demonstrating their solidarity with victim survivors is a crucial step in driving hope and breaking the silence that so many endure. Together, we will not only be working to expand our reach across Australia but also raising vital awareness of this critical issue. RizeUp has become a trusted source of safety and support, and with Amcal by our side, we’re showing that every single one of us has a role to play in ending the cycle of violence and building a brighter future for those in need.“
