Definition

Botanical name - Arnica montana.
This oil is produced by infusing the flower in soy oil.

Description

The tender golden yellow flowers of the Northern European mountain plant Arnica montana, commonly called Leopards' Bane, contain this light yellow oil that brings relief to the spotted discolouration of bruising.

Applications

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY - Arnica helps relieve pain, reduce swelling and fade discolouration caused by bruises. Use DIRECT APPLICATION for relief of bruises, contusions and sprains resulting from body knocks and shocks. Arnica can also provide temporary relief from the symptoms of chilblains; use DIRECT APPLICATION.

Arnica may increase the flow in peripheral blood vessels, and for this reason it should not be applied to broken skin and open wounds.
