Product Description

Period Pain may be caused by the contractions of the uterus at the end of the menstrual cycle.  The uterus contracts to expel its lining that has built up during the menstrual cycle.  Naproxen works by reducing the contractions of the uterus, which are responsible for causing period pain.

Amcal Period Pain Relief Tablets are effective in the symptomatic treatment of period pain.

Active Ingredients

Each tablet contains Naproxen Sodium 275mg

Free from gluten, lactose and sucrose.

Dosage

Take two tablets with food at the first sign of period pain or menstrual bleeding to relieve period pain for up to 8 hours, followed by one tablet every 6 – 8 hours as required.  Do not exceed five tablets in 24 hours.  Excessive use could be harmful.  If you get an allergic reaction, stop taking and see your doctor immediately.

Warning/Side Effects

Do not use this product:

• If you have a stomach ulcer or other stomach disorder
• Impaired kidney function or heart failure
• If you are pregnant
• If you are allergic to naproxen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines
• Unless a doctor has told you to, do not use this product for more than a few days at a time, with other medicines containing naproxen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines
• If you have asthma

Store below 25°C.  Protect from light.
